• This service enables the customer to request to Reserve a Trade Name according to the terms and conditions. All society segments are eligible to apply for this service. This service is provided by the Business Registration & Licensing Sector.

Required Documents :

• Registration and licensing application, as well as proof of reserved trade name.
• Photocopy of applicant’s passport (together with residence permit / visa details for non-GCC states nationals).
• Photocopy of applicant’s naturalization identification for UAE nationals only.
• No-objection letter from the applicant’s current sponsor for non GCC nationals.
• Photocopy of the director’s passport, and no-objection letter from the director’s current sponsor.
• Permission from the court to practice business, for applicants under 21 years.
• Approval issued by other Government authorities according to the type of activity.

Terms & Conditions :

• All required documents shall be in Arabic language.
• The License Application Form shall be submitted by the owner of the establishment or by a legally authorized representative.
• The concerned persons must be at least 21 years of age.
• The Department reserves the right to cancel the trade name in the event of similarity with existing trade names, or non-conformity with the prevailing terms and conditions.

Service Description :

• An Initial Approval Certificate is a document which says that the Dubai DED has no objection to you starting a business and means you can take the next steps to getting a business license.

Required Documents :

• Registration and licensing application, as well as proof of reserved trade name.
• Photocopy of applicant’s passport (together with residence permit / visa details for non-GCC states nationals).
• Photocopy of applicant’s naturalization identification for UAE nationals only.
• No-objection letter from the applicant’s current sponsor for non GCC nationals.
• Photocopy of the director’s passport, and no-objection letter from the director’s current sponsor.
• Permission from the court to practice business, for applicants under 21 years.
• Approval issued by other Government authorities according to the type of activity.

Terms & Conditions :

• You have to pay for your Initial Approval within seven days of applying for it.
• You must have an Initial Approval Certificate and Initial Approval Form to obtain a license.
• The Initial Approval Certificate records partners, legal type and activities of the license.
• It is valid for six months and renewable with a cost of AED 120 provided that the required documents are valid.
• In the event of non-payment within 6 months of receiving the payment voucher, transaction will be cancelled automatically.

• This service enables the customer to cancel professional license.

Required Documents :

• Submission of Registration & Licensing Application Form.
• Original License or a photocopy of it, in case the License is ended.
• No-objection letter issued by the Ministry of Labor & Social Affairs.
• Visa Cancellation of the partner or the applicant for non GCC nationals in case they are sponsored by their license.
• No-objection letter from the UAE Central Bank for cancellation of the following activities: shares & bonds broker, foreign exchange dealer, currencies & money market broker.
